I guess the point of having a website is that you put some content up on it. skirnir.com has been around for a good while, but it's never had a top level page, or a page of info about me, on it before. Various projects have been hosted on subdomains, or folders under skirnir.com, but never anything to say what this site is about. Well, to see what skirnir.com is about, look here. This page is about me.

I'm the sort of person who always has too many projects on the go, too many interests. Lately I've been prioritising less important ones over more important ones (priority inversion, I guess), but it's time to focus on what I want to be doing. So, here are some personal interests.

Photography

I've been interested in photography since I was a teenager, but it always remained a hobby. I could never really find the time and energy to get into developing, processing, etc. Digital photography changed that. Photoshop lets me process my own photos. I've also experimented with digital art, using Deep Paint. But I've never been able to justify the cost of a licence, so that experimentation has been limited to a couple of trial periods. Someday, I'll buy it.

I'm not very good at uploading my work, but there is a gallery here, and you might just find some of my recent stuff in albums up there. Sooner or later, I'll get a portfolio together.
